Singapore’s Cinematic Talent Is Making Its Way Onto Netflix

Jack Neo’s The Diam Diam Era movies will officially be on-board the Netflix platform! The first part of this two-part series will be streaming on May 28, followed by the second part of the series on August 8.  This movie series is serving us some historical lessons mixed in with comedy and drama from Singapore’s post-independence years. It looks like the Singaporean cinematic scene is taking the world by storm because Netflix has started bringing in more content from Singapore. In fact, they released over 100 Singaporean classic films and TV shows including Growing Up, Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd, The Unbeatables, Ilo Ilo, and 12 Storeys.

Aside from The Diam Diam Era movies, director Jack Neo also has other movies on the platform including the I Not Stupid and Ah Boys To Men film series! Looks like it is going to be an exciting year for appreciating more big-screen talent from Southeast Asian countries!
